United CoolAir completed a $700,000 expansion. On April 1st, the second of two metal fabrication machines, were delivered to United CoolAir. The addition of the two machines will increase the department’s current capabilities.
We at United CoolAir would like to thank MWSK Equipment, our New York distributors, for 25 years of an outstanding partnership. Neil Tucker, President of United CoolAir Corporation, visited MWSK and presented their office with a gift, thanking them for their many years of service.
United CoolAir’s exhibit at the 2015 AHR Expo in Chicago, IL from January 26 to January 28 was a success. Located at booth #5055, UCA was located at the corner of two aisles, so foot traffic was steady.
The AHR Expo is the world’s largest and most comprehensive HVACR exposition. Our 40’ booth showcased four units including: C-series 5 ton horizontal air cooled indoor evaporator and indoor condensing unit; VertiCool Aurora 20 ton vertical air cooled indoor unit; VariCool EZ-Fit 35 ton VAV water cooled unit and the MACH145 portable/temporary 12 ton narrow horizontal unit.
UCA also hosted an appreciation breakfast for our sales representatives. 2014 Project Awards were presented to Barry Gach, Klass Mechanical Sales, Ltd., Trinidad Drilling, 30 VertiCool Aurora Units; Randy Sapoff, Engineered Air Solutions, Robbinsville School, 16 C13-Series Condensing Units; Travis Hudson, Air Treatment Corporation, 24 C13-Series Units. Sales Achievement Awards were presented to companies at three levels. Platinum: MWSK Equipment; Gold: Engineered Air Solutions; Silver: Air Treatment Corporation, Havtech, Nelson Trane, and Klass Mechanical Sales, Ltd. The 2014 recipient for the United CoolAir Partnership Award was Havtech for their commitment to UCA products.
We are looking forward to the 2016 AHR Expo in Orlando, FL, booth #3253.
Recently, Priority Rentals purchased some PACH5 Heat Pumps and MACH145 portable air conditioners from UCA. Priority Rentals use for one of its first PACH5 Units was somewhat of a mystery. Priority Rentals contracted with KW Securities, an anti-terrorism, security company in supplying cool air during an installation of anti-tracking/targeted radar system.
According to Luke Mullholland of Priority Rentals, “not a lot of information was given out on exactly what type of system was being installed in the plane, but the problem was the heat inside of the plane during installation”. The electrical engineers installing the equipment were overheating. Originally, KW Securities wanted a 2 ton MovinCool unit. But this had limitations to pulling a return line back to the unit. Luke Mullholland offered the PACH5. Luke stated “this was perfect for the application they wanted. By adding several extra lengths of flex duct to the return, they were able to create a cross flow all the way through the fuselage, keeping the installation engineers comfortable. We could not have done this with one of our other MovinCool or Airrex units. They don’t have enough static pressure and they don’t have the capability of using a return line back to the unit”.
KW Securities used the PACH5 in Virginia and Tennessee for two separate aircraft radar/tracking systems. “We love the UCA equipment. When we send it out, it works. Whether cross town in Philly or in another state. We have confidence it’s going to work when it gets there”.
